1 Anyone else feeling the pinch?
2 Yeesh.
3 Ah, my own fault for ever having bought a TOOOOOONDRA.
4 I do have this plan of not spending more than 20 bucks when I get gas, and I'm just not cruising all over America anymore.
5 Yep.
6 I'm one of those guys everyone hates.
7 I always loved cruising.
8 But oil companies are greedy. Nevermind what they say about crude oil and all that other boushit.
9 I guarantee that greed and lies are half the reason things are so tough.
10 And somehow all of this will come home to roost at election time.
11 Mark me.
12 What a frickin' genius, huh?
13 It's okay though 'cuz I finally got an iPod.
14 How come the i is lower case and the Pod is capitalized?
15 Who knows.
16 I put about a million gazillion songs on the thing already. Well, I didn't because I can't even figure out how to turn on my television. But my daughters DID, and now I've been having a grand old time ignoring everybody!
17 Now when I'm writing the DN I can tune the teevee out and listen to Greenday, or Switchfoot.
18 This is your life.
19 I close my eyes and the background turns bright pinkish-red, and I see myself dancing in this skinny body with lots of hair flopping all over, and I'm the most beautiful rascal on the planet.
20 That's why Switchfoot keeps telling me, "Don't close your eyes!"
21 Because every now and again I have to get off the couch and lumber down the hall to check if I have socks with no holes in them for tomorrow.
22 Then I sit back down and become some goofball I'm not.
23 It's more than fine.
24 But when I wake in the morning I want to blow to pieces.
25 I think they're going to have me committed.
26 Meanwhile I'm just gonna bop and dance and float around with my eyes closed.
27 There are worse things.
28 Like I'm really worried about the following people: Britney, Bruno from Dancing with the Stars, that Candice chick from Stanford, Lindsay, Zito, Paris, every chick on The Bachelor, anyone trying to get a word in edgewise on The View, and Toto.
29 Not REALLY worried, like family and stuff, just head-shakin' worried, like you know that-train-gonna crash sorta worried.
30 Ah, I'll say a few prayers.
31 I do that.
32 Okay then.
33 Fear not. All is good.
