    a a a his girl friday

     The DailyNews

   It's FRIDEEEEEEEEE!!!

   Ah, I'm a Friday dude.

I consider Frideeeeeeeee the grandest day of the week.

I'm guessing my Cali crowd probably throws hats off to that notion.

Do I need to list reasons?

   Okay, I will!

Frideeeeeeeees are days in which everybody just wants to get ready to chill, and to escape all the boushit that happens during the week.

   Rhodes' scholar here.

So let's all just zip it up,and blow this whole week right out the back burners!

  Yup!  ; )  <------------sideways winky dude.

Work and school just eat up our time, in voracious amounts.

Time to tell all of it where to get off.

It's FRIDEEEEEEEEE, and I'm ready to put this week behind.

And so are YOU!!! Let's DO THIS!!!!! Yippppeeeeeeee!!!!

Moving on, Part the First: I have so much more to share, but right now, I'm down for relaxing and enjoying family and friends.

I SO wish the same to you.

On my end, I have the Giants/Phillies game on Saturday night. Now that the euphoria of the Atlanta series has settled, we stare down the toughest hombres in the National League. Little scared, but the Giants are going in like the Daltons, so it's gonna be interesting, especially Lincecum vs. Doc Halladay. You see, the wild west imagery all through this series. Gonna be a gunfight, that's for sure.

At the same time, we also have the Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Fest, which runs this weekend.

Oh, there are others, but the HMB gig just charms.

The traffic getting there requires getting up early, so that you aren't sitting in traffic on the historically awesome Highway 92. That place will stand still by 11 a.m.

Coming in from Highway 1 makes much more sense, so if you're getting ideas of going, then come up that way.

Trade secret: there is a Burger King just west (towards the ocean) that has parking.

The walk is easy, and the parking virtually free.

There is ALSO an art and wine dealy at Treasure Island in San Francisco. I've never done it, but it sounds awesome.

Personally, I would strongly recommend the HMB Pumpkin festival, because if you ask me, Half Moon Bay is underrated, and always has been.

Either way, I'm probably not going to be able to do either. I STILL have much too much grading to do this weekend.

Still, the temptation is extreme, because the HMB festival always has amazing art, great music, great food, great wine, and a quaint town where you might just duck into a small restaurant, or enjoy a walk to the ocean, just to get your love of life purified.

   So I don't know.

Also, on a personal level, my Dad lives a stone's throw from HMB, so I could do the festival AND enjoy the Giants/Phillies at his house afterwards.

'Tis a consumation devoutly to be wished!

Well, it's been a lonnnnnng week, and I'm ready for whatever this October weekend might bring.

Last night, after the volleyball game, I went to Lucky's by my school to pick up a coupla things before heading home.

The volleyball game ran WAY late, so I found myself exhausted to an almost hallucinogenic state.

I bought some orange juice, my current drink of choice, and some other small items, and proceeded to the checkout.

At 8:45 at night, Lucky's had a Super Bowl crowd grabbing booze, food, and magazines. It boggled the mind. Who the heck shops at 8:45 on a THURSDAY night?

Miscreants and morons, for one. Me for another. I find that I'm both.

Anyway, when I appoached the checkout, I found a line that was small and easy.

I put whatever I had on the counter, and then proceeded to see all the unhealthy stuff others were buying: chips, dips, booze, boushit, lettuce, and Hostess health foods.

   I rolled my eyes.

When I got to the checkout, someone said, "Heidi..."

I immediately looked at my checker's name, and truly, it was "Heide".

    Close enought.

It's Tober, and I am quite susceptible to coincidences.

I have absolutely no doubt that the weekend will bring many interesting coincidences. Stay tuned.

So I'm gonna jet outta here, and let the cards fall where they may.

I hope beyond hope that some amazing things rock my world this weekend.

I wish nothing less of you.

Enjoy yer Frideeeeee. May your hopes and dreams all come true.

    Live life.

    Love life.

    Peace.
