    The Daily News

How and where do we start?

Had a GOOD day, but Dancing With the Has-Beens seems to be ruling the night.

  Argh.

Kurt Warner is teaching his daughter how to hold her pinky up while sipping, so I'll give the guy some love.

Wait. There's rain and umbrellas in the dance, and all sorts of other folderol.

But that song "Ya Had a Bad Day" is the dance he is dancing. He's all right, but dude, REALLY?

   Cute. But REALLY?

Ah, shoot. They're talking "charm" and "I loved it", and I really think that the DN isn't quite ready for any of this silly nonsense.

Ah, maybe 'cuz I'm still spinning from the Giants' amazing Show this entire season.

I actually had a little time to watch the last few innings over again yesterday, and got to watch the Giants' celebration. I was busy trying to write a recommendation when all the hoop-la began. Nothing like watching genuine, real joy flying off your teevee screen.

At one point, right after the win, when everything was totally insane, Amy Gutierrez, the Giants' female field announcer, pulled Timmy Lincecum aside and asked if he was ready to party.

Lincecum, in an eternal slip, shouted into the mic, "FU#@K YEAH!"

This went through the Giants' PA system, and echoed all the way to the Bay Bridge, and possibly made its way to Yosemite.

That's grit, dude. Was I offended?

    Nope. Not for one second.

It sounded perfectly natural, and everybody played it off. Lincy with the F bomb on natioanl teevee.

   Good times, good times.

Moving on, Part the First: So it took no time for me to return to my classes.

BTW, the expletive above somehow got hot as some website you could click on to. That's why it is underlined. I know not to underline quotes. Won't undo. Meh. Anyway, it may lead you to some strange website somewhere.

The DN management neither supports nor encourages anything that website might encourage.

   Heck, I might even laugh.

   But truly, not interested.

  Hah!

But anyone who has followed the team knows that Timmeh was just being Timmeh.

   Let's move on.

Moving on, Part the Second: Do you keep trying to keep up with life these days, but there's ALWAYS something that stops you from getting done what you want to get done?

   Rhetorical question.

I don't know about anyone else, but is SURE seems that our jobs, or our classes, or whatever, all seem to want to interfere with our normal lives.

And the we are all broke! WTF?

WTF. That means, "What fun!", right?

   FML.

No wonder we have to abbreviate all that is truly important.

We have become a nation of Facebookers, Tweeters, Twitterers, and Stumblers.

   How absurd!

When was the last time any of us has had a chance to sit down with a good friend, and simply chill for hours on end?

   Rhetorical question number two.

Do any of us remember just talking with another human being, and taking time to enjoy simple discourse?

Right now, I have no time for anything THAT real.

   Too much to do.

Our lives have come out of control, do you agree? Rhetorical question number three.

Naturally, I feel it's all a conspiracy to keep us all isolated, and ridiculously tired ALL the time.

I really feel it's time for us to bust out of this nonsense.

Life's too short, and we are starting to push the important people in our lives aside for whatever "they" want us to do.

Or, ah, I think I'll cut this short. I don't really believe any of that. Well, I do, but who cares?

So yeah, I DO believe all of that, but I'm just too worn out to describe it here.

Moving on, Part the Third: Did anyone notice that yesterday I butchered the spelling of Giants' Pat Burrell's name.

I was exhausted when I wrote yesterday's DN, and first thing in the morning, I'll be honest with you, my jaw slacked, and I just typed anything.

For the record, his name is "Pat Burrell". I also misspelled Dan Runzler's name. It's "Dan Runzler." I spelled it with an "S". My excuse is for Burrell, none, because he is an everyday player. For Runzler, none, even though he rarely gets in. All this after I boasted last week about being a good speller. Not when I have one eye open and one eye closed first thing in the morning. I can't spell my own name when I first awaken. I'm like Frankenstein on Demerol and root beer.

Anyway, those are all the thoughts I have for today.

Today I have to teach all day, and then supervise a volleyball game tonight.

    I'm struck dumb.

Tomorrow I work lights for a music program featuring our amazing Wind Ensemble and the U.C. Berkeley's Wind Ensemble. Looking way forward to that one.

Amazing. You might want to come out and enjoy the best music that will move through San Jose in quite a while. It's at our Theatre, 7 p.m. $3.00. I can't wait!

Meanwhile, you all blast through yet another Tuesday, and give all ya got.

    That's all I got.

    Love you all, everything.

    Peace.
