2 I SWEAR to you I heard some report last night that the famous secondary Beach Boy had ridden the wild surf...
3 Well I glad to know he's still around.
4 Bruce was the "Bruce" part of the duet "Bruce and Terry", a Beach Boys' soundalike band whose greatest hit, "Hey, Little Cobra" wasn't really ever enough to give them the stature of the Beach Boys.
5 Terry, by the way, was the late Terry Melcher, son of the venerable Doris Day and a minor player in the Manson murders, poor fellow.
6 Years ago when I vistited Disneyland, I was in line for some ride or other, and recognized Bruce Johnston, who was standing in line with me.
7 We didn't have much to say to one another, but he was courteous and cool, nonetheless.
8 Anyway, now that I've done the poor fellow's eulogy, I find that he is probably alive and well and still surfin'.
9 Hey, there are worse mistakes.
10 I just woke up so don't mess with me. I'm feelin' knarly.
11 Heheh.
12 Actually, the odds of me being knarly when I awaken are slim to none.
13 I'm always rather appreciative that I still have life each morning.
14 I've died a thousand times this past week, so awakening last night, looking at my toe and seeing that there wasn't a tag hanging off it made my heart soar.
15 Ah, 'twas a nicely moment.
16 Moving on: the beautiful thing about waking up when you think you have died is that you come to appreciate things like old movies, horrible teevee, and alarm clocks.
17 AND that Bruce Johnston has a new lease on life.
18 The flip side is that you have once again another dose of insomnia.
19 Insomnia isn't so bad unless it happens to you.
20 Anyway, good to know that Bruce is still with us, that I still have no tag, and that the rest of you survived the latest health scare they've decided to worry us with.
21 Immina take a perfectly well-earned nap, and then jumping right back into life so that I can enjoy another day.
22 Y'all sleep well, even if it's in school or at work.
23 Life's good.
24 Live life, love life.
