  Happy 4/20!!!

A friend of mine took this picture of his Japanese Maple Tree. I have one two, only mines has red leafs.

   Leafs.

I never really did know what 4/20 was, so I just figure I’ll wish everyone a celebration of the coming of Spring. Plus we have Earth Day and all the rest, so I thought throwing a little green at the top of the page would be a dandy way to celebrate whatever the heck 4/20 is.

Soooo…Sharks. Where do we start except to say, keep going fellas. Once you get around 200 shots on goals and 40 Power Plays, something is BOUND to land.

Don’t lose faith. They can do down the Disneytown and run rampant on those guys.

Speaking of sports, it’s always tough to see someone retire. It’s great for them, but some of us just can’t believe someone reaches retirement.

I speak of course of the retirement announcement by the great John Madden, one of the greatest sports guys around, and a Bay Area boy from Daly City.

  Hope y’all didn’t miss me.

I had pretty nice break, all things considered.

I loved the last two days, save for the Sharks.

There comes a point in the year where you just look forward to the longer days and the barbecues and all.

So hockey season stumbles to a close, basketball is done, and now it’s time to sip slip inside the shade, sip some lemonade, and turn to the kindness of baseball.

Baseball is like listening to a lawnmower cutting grass on a lazy Saturday afternoon. It’s always buzzin’ in the background no matter what you are doing. A lotta people are going to be making their homes their summer vacations this year, so I think it might do a lot of us good.

You start with hot dogs, lazy days, lemonade, and maybe even a trip to the beach.

Yeah, you have to go to school or work or whatever in between, but it’s definitely goof-off time for most people.

Like yesterday I was supposed to be correcting papers and stressing about this week in school, but I decided instead to take a trip to the dumps.

I’d rather go to the dumps than Disneyland.

I had the entire side of my house bound in the back of my truck and took off to Dixon Landing Road yesterday. I felt like a cross between Tom Joad and Jed Clampett.

When I got there, some security guy with some weird arm patch stopped me and told me the dumps were closed.

  Was closed.

   Whatevuh.

I had spent my entire morning loading a huge buncha stuff, and I smelled like a swamp. Suddenly I had to do a u-turn and try to get this stuff from nearly Fremont to Camden, where the most beautiful dump in the world is located.

I don’t know about you, but whenever I go to the dumps, I try to do it all in one load in order to save money. So I had stuff designed to take back streets, and in no way was ready to stress a freeway ride almost a half-hour away.

I did it though. I think I’ve really learned how to stuff junk so that it won’t blow out on the freeway. I got there, listening to baseball and Randy Johnson one-hitting the Arizonas, and loved every second of it.

Anyway, that’s my news. I got to go to the dumps, Oh, and afterwards I went to Best Buy? And my footprints imbedded in the parking lot. So if you go to McCarthy Ranch in the next coupla days, say “Hi” to my footprints. They look like they were made from moon dust.

Aight then, it’s gonna be a hottie today {{{?}}} so live it up.

Have a great 4/20, for what it’s worth.

  Go fishin’.

   Peace.
