Happy St. Patrick's Day!
1 Do you ever travel through live and then suddenly you get faced directly with something that shows how STUPID you really are?
2 Me too.
3 Notice I didn't even wait for an answer.
4 We're all a buncha dumbasses.
5 Wha-EVUH. :
6 Like yesterday I was all up in the biznessss of colors.
7 Students understood most colors, but I finally had to name a color that I had no idea as to what it was.
8 The answer was, "puce".
9 ONE student pointed to a mask in my room and INSISTED that it was as close to puce as one could possibly come.
10 I'm not too good once you leave the realm of red, yellow, or blue.
11 I don't think I'm alone.
12 In fact, I got home yesterday and began stressing about what color "puce" was.
13 I always thought I knew, but a quick poll of my classes showed me that nobody really agrees on what color it is.
14 I even went online last night, and here are several samples of puce:
15 So I have to guess that any offshoot of purple and pink is puce.
16 This is pretty funny, because most people I ask seem pretty adamant about THEIR conception, yet if you google it in "images" you get entirely different concepts.
17 So in many ways I'm glad I didn't wear a pink slip on Friday. Mine probably would have been a puce slip, and people woulda talked.
18 Ah, it doesn't matter.
19 Today is all about green anywayZ.
20 I always forget to wear green on St. Patrick's Day.
21 But I always seem to be able to avoid a pinch, and for whatever reason, I always seem to have a really lucky and fun day.
22 Here's hoping!
23 I woke up worried.
24 You know how that is.
25 Everybody's worried these days.
26 Anyway, maybe all of us can stop worrying, at least for today.
27 Look at the sky, or at a cloud or something.
28 I always become less stressed when I look at the sky.
29 I especially love this time of the year because of the cloud formations and the lush hills.
30 The world is always cleaner and more clear.
31 Mud luscious and puddle wonderful.
32 That's e.e. cummings, a guy who obviously was a man of great humility, since he didn't even think he was important enough to capitalize the letters in his name.
33 What a guy.
34 Ane HE knew about the world in March and April.
35 Well anyway, look at the sky, and think of people you love. That's always a good thing to do.
