The enigmatic DN of Friday has been explained, at long last.
I wrote it in my sleep.
I’m not sure what you call that, but it’s sort of like sleepwalking, only it’s sleep-writing.
I wrote, then fell asleep, then drooled. I would be dreaming, and then I would write random stuff that eventually launched.
For your viewing pleasure, I added commentary to it on my Xanga, which you could always visit by clicking the bottom of any random DN.
I had been at decorations for Junior Prom that night and it ran way late.
Remember decorations for Proms?
Yeesh.
Anyway, I added a few of my own comments and doctored it up for you.
Some fun.
Moving on: Turns out that Mountain Dew commercial that says the Yo-Yo was first invented as a weapon is a buncha boushit.
Here’s a picture of a boy playing with a yo-yo in 440 b.c.
This is clearly not a weapon.
Some would argue that’s clearly not a boy.
Moving on, Part 2: So looks like the District has joined hands with all the unions and is taking a pilgrimage of rooter buses to Sacramento on Tuesday to get the message to the governor that we can’t afford to cut anymore from public schools.
Schools are off around noon and everybody is going: Teachers, students, staff, Board members, administrators, unions, everybody.
The cuts are real, and quite immediate. These groups normally can’t agree on the time of day, but for once, they have decided that the public needs to realize you can’t trim THAT much or it will be a circus next year.
So Tuesday. Naturally, I had planned Camp Everytown (formerly Camp Anytown) for Wednesday so it’ll be interesting running up to Sac and back again in time to pack for Camp Harmon.
We’re bringing some students from Piedmont, which is pretty interesting all the way around.
More on that later, but it’s been a rather busy coupla weeks, to be sure.
Explains that DN.
Not much else. I’ll keep you posted, but there won’t be a DN on Thursday and Friday of this week.
So.
I have lots of things to do before heading out.
Anyway, happy Monday to you. If you click on the link to my Xanga you’ll get the color commentary on Friday’s DN.
Meanwhile, I’m gonna go before I drift off again, and eventually write the same novel as an infinite amount of monkeys with an infinite amount of typewriters.
You fly low.
Peace.
