Blue moon
you left me standin' alone
without a dream in my heart
without a love of my own.

They say it isn't exactly blue, which is true. The blue moon is
technically the third full moon of a four-full moon season, appearing
once every 2.7 years. There are other incorrect definitions, so a big
thanks goes out to Julie Sevrens Lyons of the Merc for those fun
tidbits. Last night at precisely 6:04 PDT, there was a blue moon.3
I justgottalove a real blue moon. It's always a pretty fertile time
for strange happenings, mystic lovers, and perhaps something in a
howling moose.

I know my plurals dammit. At first I thought the word "mooses" would
have been cuter. But someone woulda called me on it, so we'll just
leave it. Cute moose anyway, don't you agree? Or is there no such thing?5 Ah, the Great
Blue Moon. It looks pretty, no matter what else. It's always nice. We
lose the stars but gain the mystique. Plus it makes for some pretty
snazzy lighting if you're into lighting. AND it's exactly what's needed
right now, in all our lives.

I saw that last night and went outside and danced at midnight like a
lunatic. Ah, 'Tis time, 'tis time...the utter madness of it all!7 It makes us howl and scream.
It brings anger and passion, that much is certain.
It brings out amor.
It brings with it much madness!
It makes music lilting, lucid and lyrical.
It makes lips rounder and full blossomed.
It brings omens, night or day.
It brings love and passion.
It bewilders animals.
It always hits the bullseye.
It makes kids laugh and act silly.
It makes dreamers dream.
It makes thinkers think.
But the truest observation of them all...
Is that it makes monkeys of us all.
