Opening night.2 Let me say it again: Opening night.
This is the first totally student-directed play in the history of YB.
It’s been a lot of fun offering some help with lights and tech and all.
I was up last night until midnight trying to do the light thing.
I have been helping this last week, but only marginally. Those students are
on a roll. They did fine at the dress rehearsal, and even jumped into a large, circular group hug last night when things went pretty well at the dress rehearsal.7 The ironic part of all of it is that I have a Winter Ball up at the Chil on the Hill, and I can’t possibly get down to watch their performance.
I don’t know when I’ve been a piece of three separate events in the same night. The Chill has a varsity girls’ basketball game at 5, followed by a Winter Ball, and then YB’s Drama Workshop is doing Behind Closed Doors, great title, by the way.
Insanity.
Ah, vell…
Just another day in the life.
You know what’s fun about having an insane lifestyle? You wind up eating the strangest things. Like who knew that Nissan not only makes dandy cars, they also make a great shrimp ramen.
Eating habits. Yeesh.
I eat anything that is in pieces these days: gummi bears, M & M’s, Cheese Its, bon bons, the usual.
Anyway, I’m gonna keep it pretty short today and dedicate this edition of the Daily News to the wonderful students who have worked so hard against all odds to finally get this show to the stage. Thank all of you.
Means a lot.
Break-a-Leg.
And if you’re within a mile of the place, you should just go.
Are you listening to the lessons that life is teaching you?
That was just asked on Oprah.
I’m gonna leave.
You all give me strength.
Heroes.
Break-a-leg guys!
Peace.
