1 So...I go to check my e-mails, and I get this very wonderful correction from the tantalizingly alert Trami, one of the great treasures from the very Class of '05:

2 Now, I KNEW I had misspelled that word the second it sent, and just prayed NOBODY would notice!
3 I swear, I could comb the DN all night and STILL find dumbass errors, missplaced modz, and simple sentences missing words like "the". It's the nature of the beast, truly.
4 Each time it happens, I'm horrified, and I just bank on the fact that most people are either reading this drivel half-cocked, or they're thinking, "What a dumbass!"
5 Anyway, I just thought I'd send out the correction with the disclaimer that, "Hey, I knew that; I was hoping nobody would notice!" Sorta like finding a spaghetti spot on your shirt at the end of the day.
6 Well, I have a week to tell this stuff to my neighborhood priest, and to turn myself humbly in to the San Jose Correctional Facility in Milpitas.
7 That's where we dumbasses belong.
8 I'm workin' overtime here, and so are you, so howzbout, I'll emerge next week a new man.
