Just got home from spending a goodly part of the evening taking my Theatre back. Jose, Ray and I did the work of a hundred strong men tonight.

We should have had some help, but there was a Powderpuff Football Game tonight, major grudge matches among the girls in the classes.

So the three of us needed the Theatre clean, because the Pigeon Players puts up Thugs next weekend.

Stage left was a Spirit Week shambles!  There were boxes stacked to the ceiling, paint virtually everywhere, papier mache slopped all over the tiles, as far as the eye could see, chicken wire, paint brushes, posters, and all the rest. I’m pretty sure it was a wall around 8 feet tall, and as wide as the entire Stage Left Garage.

We pretty much gave the lion’s share of that stuff the heave-ho.

Three-and-a half hours we worked. Jose mused that the Seniors’ favorite day in the Fall is their Spirit Day, but that HIS favorite day  in the Fall is when the Seniors have disappeared, and we could return our Theatre to its natural state. As we speak, Stage Left is immaculate!

So yeah, tonight was actually wonderful. Every time the stage is returned to Drama, it totally rocks!!

Blissfully tired. The Seniors gave it everything they could today, and then some. A little TOO much and then some: they got chased off stage by Mr. Moser, so they lost a dance, and worse, the dramatic ending of their lunch stuff, which was the young clown deciding to go with his parents and go off to clown college. He was to have been raised by the masses, and marched off to the classic circus music.

A HUGE backdrop made of burgundy silk with gold letters was to drop down from the quad roof. The thing took Loan and Nancy well over thirty some-odd hours.

Oh, well. I’m pretty certain it will arrive at the rally in no time.

  Go WARRIORS!!!

  Exhausted.

  Go.
